URBAN DRUMMER MAGAZINE, the magazine for drummers who march to a different beat, was launched on January 1st, 2007 by Marcus Williams. The magazine is published monthly and features Jazz, Hip Hop, Gospel, R&B, Latin, and Blue drummers,and Percussionist.
As Editor-in-Chief of Urban Drummer Magazine, Marcus Williams strongly believes that there are not enough media for this types of musical expressions . Therefore, he felt it was time for all urban musicians to have a voice in this huge world of music, which as a whole have mold, and shaped into what it is today.
The magazine focuses on Latin, Jazz, Hip-Hop, R&B and Gospel.
It is our hope that the Urban Drummer Magazine will open a new super highway of knowledge for drummers who are very much into various styles of drumming. It also gives drummers a chance to expand their knowledge of who's creating this wonderful music. The magazine introduces various insights into drumming from an artist point-of-view.

In future issues of the magazine, we will interview celebrity music artists and their drummers and give you, the reader, the inside scoop.
Urban Drummer Magazine hopes to reach the hundreds of thousands of drummers that are currently not being recognized for their work. We also hope to attract drummers that have dynamic interests aside from the conventional way of drumming, but with an urban flare.
The latest and newest electronic drum technologies, video electronic and communication technologies, automotive interests and fashion apparel will be featured in upcoming issues of the magazine.
