For many years, Marcus Williams had been an avid reader of the most popular drum magazines. He received a lot of insight on various drum techniques, but as he grew older and more experienced, he realized that those magazines were not relating to his profession, nor were the magazines featuring musicians that were playing the type of music that many of his peers were listening to. Therefore, on January 1st, 2007, Mr. Williams launched Urban Drummer Magazine.
